  1. All the library users must be members of the library. They must bring their library cards before entering the library.
  2. At the check-point all the library users are advised to put their signature in the register while entering the library.
  3. Users should leave their bags and other belongings including personal books (except money and other valuables) at the property counter of the library.
  4. Only notepaper/notebooks/laptops will be allowed inside the library.
  5. Smoking, spitting and using mobile phone inside the library are strictly prohibited. The library users are advised to interact with the library staff for further assistance.
  6. Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be re-shelved by the users themselves. Please leave it on the tables to avoid misfiling. Remember that a book misplaced is a book lost.
  7. The library users should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library materials in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged with the full replacement cost of damaged material leading to suspension of library account and be barred from entering the library.
  8. The library users leaving the library should allow the library/security staff to examine their personal belongings.
  9. Every library user has a right to a peaceful environment for reading. Please make sure that you are not violating this right of other users.
  10. All users are requested to keep their mobiles in switched off or silent mode in the library. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in library reading areas.
  11. No visitor or guest is permitted to use the library without the prior permission of the Librarian.
  12. No photograph within the library shall be taken without the prior permission of the Librarian.
  13. All library users are advised to enter the library premises in a decent dress.
  14. The Librarian has the power to cancel the membership of a library user and refuse entry to anyone who violates the rules of the library or indulges in any other type of misconduct.

  • Students are required to handle the books/ journals very carefully; marking with pencil, writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way shall be viewed very seriously. In such case the reader shall be held responsible.
